What has been the most challenging part of Covid-19?

The most challenging thing would probably have to be the uncertainty. Once we first started quarantine it was the uncertainty of if I’d have the chance to experience a graduation or prom, or see my friends again. Now, colleges are saying they may keep our first semester online. The uncertainty of what’s next, on top of the normal stress of graduating and moving on to college has been pretty challenging. No one has any advice because no one understands.

What has given you strength/ are there any unexpected positives from this time?

An unexpected positive was the chance to explore more creative outlets with all this free time. I like to paint, sew, and make things, but I would have never had the time to do all this in my normal day to day life. The chance to focus some more attention on the things I love has been a positive.

Who do you wear a mask for?

I wear a mask for the people in my life who are immunocompromised, because they are some of the most vulnerable people, and yet they have been so overlooked in this situation and the way in which this administration has made decisions. I also wear a mask for all my friends can’t go to school anymore, but have to go to work everyday because they are essential, even though they are kids.
