What has been the most challenging part of Covid-19?

The most challenging part of Covid-19 has been witnessing people’s physical and mental health struggles while in isolation from others. Right when help and love are needed the most, they are surrounded by silence, loneliness and uncertainty. I see it in a daily basis and I have relatives experiencing this situation as well. I feel useless and that is heart breaking to me.

What has given you strength/ are there any unexpected positives from this time?

I found myself with an unusual amount of free time. I disconnect from the world and tune in with myself most days after work. I find myself cooking and baking family recipes. It brings me joy and ease the pain of feeling helpless these days. Some days are harder than others but you must practice self love in order to stay strong for those who need you the most.

Who do you wear a mask for?

I wear my mask for humanity. I believe we all play a roll in the world’s population health theses days. Also as a symbol to appreciation towards those who are working so hard in the front lines of the healthcare system.
