What has been the most challenging part of Covid-19?

Most of the people I know live on the edge, they don’t have back-up. I can weather the storm for a little bit here but I can’t go for another 3 or 4 months - there’s no way I could do that. There’s a lot of really sad stories out there. I don’t trust the politicians cause they’re all rich guys. I like Charlie but Charlie’s a rich guy. This doesn’t affect Charlie’s life other than the fact that he has to deal with it. His kids are fine living in Swampscott in their big fancy house. It’s the other people, it’s me, it’s the people who have to make money every month.

The banks aren’t bailing anybody out, the insurance companies aren’t bailing anybody out.  So what good are the politicians? The politicians should be saying to the banks ‘we’re not giving you sh**t and we’re not gonna play anymore. You’re gonna forgive 3 months of loans’ and just push them…it’s just a push. You’re gonna get your money but just not these 3 months.

I don’t know…it’s a tough one. And I don’t think things are going back to normal until there’s a vaccine for this.

What has given you strength/ are there any unexpected positives from this time?

I’m getting a lot more work done. I’m also realizing how much money I spend in restaurants, whoa. And the gas prices are wicked cheap. Everything actually works for me except I’ve got fewer sales.

Who do you wear a mask for?

I wear my mask when I go out in public, food shop or the hardware store.
